Rainbow Everywhere: Pride Month 2022 for LGBTQ+

 

A report from Gallup shows that US adults who self-identify as LGBTQ+ other than heterosexual have increased to a new high of 7.1% in 2021, as compared to 5.6% in 2020. Of those who participated in the survey, 86.3% identified themselves as straight, and 6.6% were unable to offer an opinion.

 

As the LGBTQ+ community continues to gain more voices, it has given rise to diverse business types. The National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) represents that the related business owners have made a significant economic impact of over $1.7 trillion, creating jobs and innovative business solutions across the nation. generate over $1.7 trillion in economic impact and they have created jobs and innovative business solutions nationwide. 

 

Over 75% of LGBTQ+ adults, along with their friends, family, and relatives, would switch to brands that are known to be LGBTQ+ friendly. Besides economic interest, LGBTQ+ friendly shows a recognition for love, freedom, equity, and caring for others, which is a brilliant display for brand images.

 

Here is a brief list of popular brands that support Pride Month and the LGBTQ+ community.

 

 

Abercrombie & Fitch: Abercrombie & Fitch has collaborated with The Trevor Project for the third time to launch a capsule collection that includes T-shirts, sandals, and other items in sizes XXS-XXXL, with a committed donation of $400,000.

 

Bath & Body Works: Bath & Body Works has donated $150,000 to the It Gets Better Project, a non-profit organization that aims to connect, empower, and uplift LGBTQ+ communities around the world. Furthermore, it brings out a collection with big discounts for their Pride Month products. 

 

Kohl's: This year, Kohl's has launched their collection featuring Being our best means being ourselves and is donating $100,000 to The Trevor Projects, the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ+ young people. Through this partnership, it will help to support over 1500 LGBTQ youth in crisis by offering free, confidential 24/7 counseling.

 

Saks OFF 5TH: Saks OFF 5TH has cooperated with The Phluid Project to launch a gender-neutral capsule collection and 100% of net proceeds, up to $100,000, from the sales of the collection will be given back to the Phluid Phoundation.

 

Kérastase: Kérastase is also a partner of The Trevor Project and gives financial support of $50,000.

 

Nautica: Nautica has a giving-back campaign to support the LGBTQ+ community through The Trevor Project. It also will donate $1 per item sold in its Pride Collection to help suicide prevention efforts among LGBTQ+ youth.

 

Walmart: Walmart puts up with a slogan of Pride & Joy for the pride collection. They also support brands to give back. Skittles will donate $50k to Ali Forney Center for housing & other services.

 

JOANN: JOANN is proud to partner with GLSEN, a national organization to support young people in the LGBTQ+ community and they have committed $25000 to this cause. In addition, they cooperate with local organizations to support LGBTQ+ in the community. 

 

Fabletics: To support the LGBTQ+ community, Fabletics is making a $25,000 donation to GLAAD.

 

In addition to donating to non-profit organizations, many merchants also offer discounts on products in the Pride Month series.

 

 

Bath & Body Works: Bath & Body Works also brings out a collection with up to 50% off for their Pride Month products. The company affirms believe that love always wins and love belongs to everyone. Check for Bath and Body Works coupons or look for beautiful rainbow symbols at their collection page.

 

Wayfair: Wayfair offers a range of pride products featuring distinct rainbow symbols, such as flags, paintings, corn boards, and rugs, some of which are available at a 20% discount.

 

JOANN: JOANN also gives significant discounts of up to 40% off on their Pride collection. Check their pride collection or seek discounts using coupon tools

 

 

Kohl's: In addition to donating $100,000 to The Trevor Projects and providing free confidential 24/7 counseling, Kohl's also provides abundant stuff with an average 10%-30% discount. 

 

Michaels: Michaels has dedicated a section of their website to Pride Month, featuring a diverse selection of items with colorful hearts and characters such as love and pride. You could save 20% with code in Michaels.

 

Many of the merchants offering discounted Pride Month products are also donating a portion of their proceeds to relevant organizations based on their sales.

Original Penguin: Original Penguin has also launched a $49 limited edition Rainbow Pete Pride Tee — and 100% of proceeds will go to All Out in support of their efforts to fight sexual discrimination against the queer community.

 

MALIN+DOETZ: MALIN+DOETZ has offered gender-neutral skin care since 2004. And the brand will be donating 50% of all store and online sales made to The Trevor Project in 2022.

 

Harper Wilde: Harper Wilde unveiled a new Pride capsule collection, conveying that "there is no pride for some of us without liberation for all of us." It is also donating 15% of all proceeds from its limited edition to the Marsha P. Johnson Institute, which is an organization dedicated to protecting and defending the human rights of Black trans people.

 

Kate Spade: Kate Spade's 2022 Rainbow Assortment shows a large tote, a sweatshirt, and an array of jewelry picks. It has pledged to donate 10% of net profits to The Trevor Project in assistance with the LGBTQ+ youth.

 

Brahmin: Brahmin is donating 10% of the proceeds from their Popsicle Ombre Melbourne Collection to GLSEN.

 

Walmart: Besides donating $50k to Ali Forney Center for housing & other services, Skittles will donate $1 to GLAAD for every pack purchased.

 

Nautica: In order to aid suicide prevention efforts among LGBTQ+ youth, Nautica will donate $1 per item sold in June. Nautica celebrates Pride Month with The Trevor Project and gives back to society.

 

Bombas: Bombas prepares an awe-inspiring Pride collection including socks, slippers, tops, and underwear. It has pledged to donate an item to someone in need within the LGBTQIA+ community by organizations like The Ally Coalition.

 

Also, there are still a number of other merchants doing their bit to support Pride Month. 

 

Target: Target launches the collection featured as ‘take pride, all year long’ to help people fill the world with pride. Their products include clothing, accessories, jewelry, books, and party supplies, and so on. And Target holds a limited-time collection with TomboyX & Humankind, two beloved queer, female-founded brands that stand for inclusivity in every way.

 

Macy's: Macy's also helped raise awareness and critical funds to support The Trevor Projects’ effort to give a hand to LGBTQ+ youth. Its pride month activity features Pride + Joy, which advocates acceptance, inclusion, and happiness of LGBTQ+ people for yourself and our community.

 

Walgreens Photo: W Photo says for Pride Month that be who you are and love who you are, supporting everyone to strengthen self-identification and self-acceptance. It supplies richful stuff for the pride anniversary, such as posters, banners, and many related products with rainbows. And they offer free same-day pickup and free ship-to-store services.

 

SAVAGE X: Savage X Fenty has prepared its second Savage X Pride collection and campaign, in partnership with GLAAD and For The Gworls, which includes almost everything from unlined bras to lace catsuits and more. It is said to support GLAAD and For the Gworls, which is a Black, transgender-led mutual aid collective.

 

There are also other brands proving Pride Month products. Rainbows can be seen everywhere, especially in June. But like a chief officer at GLAAD said, the rainbow pride campaign should go deeper. Except for a-month rainbow packaging, brands, communities, and ourselves could do more to support the LGBTQ+ community and make a real difference to the nation.
