Which One Will You Choose between Buying Nothing Day and Black Friday?

Black Friday has become a well-known shopping extravaganza that many people eagerly look forward to. This annual event takes place every year, just one day after Thanksgiving. For countless Americans, even before Thanksgiving officially ends, they are already planning on lining up outside popular retailers such as Walmart, Best Buy, or Macy's - either in person or virtually - to get their hands on amazing deals before products run out.

According to Adobe Analytics, online sales for Black Friday have increased by 20% annually between 2018 and 2021, jumping from 6.2 billion to 8.9 billion, with a peak sale figure achieved in 2020. Though there has been a slight decrease in the year 2021 compared to 2020, with the reduction rate being less than 1%, sales figures continue to remain covetable. As Thanksgiving serves as an excellent sales opportunity, merchants cannot afford to ignore it. From 2018 to 2021, sales figures have been on the uptick year on year - this can be deduced by analyzing the Thanksgiving and Black Friday sales ratio, which averages out to 0.56 to 1.
